Background

Dr. Matthew Dress, a native of Harrisonburg, VA, is the newest member of Pathology Group of the Midsouth. He received his B.S. from Christian Brothers University before earning his medical degree from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Dress completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Tennessee where he served as chief resident. Dr. Dress subsequently completed a fellowship in hematopathology at the University of Rochester Medical Center—Strong Memorial Hospital. In addition to his extensive knowledge of hematopathology and flow cytometry, Dr. Dress has fostered distinct interests in blood banking and transfusion medicine, coagulation, and numerous areas of surgical pathology.
